Edit Selector Cocktail

Edit Selector Cocktail

Substance mix that enables selection and enrichment of edited cells.
The Edit Selector Cocktail increases the proportion of correctly edited cells following genome editing. Applied after the initial edit, it selectively eliminates unedited cells, shifting the population toward a higher percentage of edited clones. This quick enrichment process reduces downstream cloning effort and enables faster experimental turnaround.

Key features

Increased editing purity

Selectively removes unmodified cells, thereby enriching cell populations for those carrying the intended genetic modification.

Marker-free selection of edited cells

Selects for cells carrying the intended genetic modification without introducing additional genetic markers or reporters.

Optimized cloning workflows

Enhances cloning efficiency by enriching for correctly edited cells prior to clonal isolation, reducing downstream effort.

Frequently asked questions

No. Our products are for research purposes only and are not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.

The Super UniGuide works efficiently across all cell types. The Super Knock-in and Edit Selector Cocktail are currently optimized for human cells only. Mouse versions of both are in development and we expect them in a few months. Get in touch at crispr@clearcutbiolabs.com if you’d like to be notified when they’re ready for testing.
If you work in another species, we’d like to hear from you. We’re keen to extend these products beyond human and mouse, and knowing which organisms labs actually need helps us decide what to develop next.

All CCBio products work with RNP editing using Cas9, HiFi-Cas9 and Cas9 nickase (D10A). The Super Knock-in Cocktail and Edit Selector Cocktail also support Cas12a; the Super UniGuide is a tracrRNA and so does not apply to Cas12a.
Guides can be a crRNA:tracrRNA duplex or a fused sgRNA, delivered by electroporation or lipofection. The Super UniGuide is not compatible with sgRNA.
The Edit Selector Cocktail enriches the proportion of edited cells by performing a second Cas9 edit after any knock-in, base or prime edit that alters the gRNA recognition site.

Yes. All three can be used separately or together, depending on what’s limiting your experiment.
